Worship Team

A deep spiritual maturity expressed in every area of life is essential for this ministry.

We also look for a great work ethic, a history of serving in other ministries, genuine love for God's people, a proven commitment to attending Ascension Church, and an appropriate musical skillset.

Tech Team

This team covers many key areas: live sound mixing, audio recording, live streaming, camera switching, lyrics and media, and lighting.

A healthy sense of humour and a willingness to serve are vital.

A familiarity with technology is helpful, but we can teach technical skills.

Welcome Team

This is a vital Sunday service ministry, because you will connect with everyone who comes to church that day!

The team runs on a roster with 2-3 people on duty every week.

Hospitality Team

Hospitality is a key ministry at Ascension that we are all involved in, connecting over food is in our DNA!

We enjoy shared lunches after the Sunday morning service. The food that is contributed needs to be heated and prepared for serving, the dining room set up, and the dishes washed, and the dining and kitchen spaces cleaned up.

We have a rotation of all church aGroups serving in this area, but committed team members are always needed.

Ascension Kids

This ministry runs during the sermon and caters for children from 4-15 on a rotating roster.

A fun loving attitude and suitable temperament for working with youth in a team environment are vital.

Police background checks are to be expected.
