Are You New Here?

We know coming to a new place and meeting new people can be intimidating so we’ve prepared a one-stop-shop for some frequently asked questions.

Our purpose is to guide people into a relationship with Jesus that transforms their life, family, and community.

What Do We Believe?

The Bible is God’s Word.
We believe we should read, study, and apply, the Word of God. Our lives should express God's character through our relationships and in our community.

We know Jesus is the Son of God.
He died for our sins, and was resurrected to give us new life. Accepting Jesus as our King and Saviour is the only way to a relationship with God.

We need a Saviour.
It's obvious that we have all made mistakes that separate us from God. Thankfully we are saved from the consequence of those errors by God’s mercy and grace which is given to us through Jesus. We cannot earn it.

Following Jesus changes us.
Being a Christian means growing to be like Christ in every part of our lives.

The bottom line.
If the Bible has a clearly defined teaching on any subject then we will study to understand it, and our beliefs will align with the Word of God.

What Usually Happens at a Service?

When you arrive.
After coming in through the Don Street entrance you will be greeted by our welcome team who can help you get settled in.
We have no allocated seating so you can sit anywhere in the Worship Centre.
The service usually starts with songs and free worship, followed by a message or sermon.

Shared lunch
After the service we don't rush away - we value relationships, and that takes time.
From April to November we have a shared lunch in the Dining Room.
To make the most of summer, from mid January to March we usually have a BBQ, picnic, sports, games, or some other family friendly activity!
If you have the time we would love you to stay.

Children's Ministries

What about my children 0-4 years old?
We have a parents and babies room available during the service that receives a livestream of everything happening in the Worship Centre.
We do not offer a creche at this time, and the parents and babies room is not monitored by volunteer staff. Parents must supervise their own children at all times.

What about my children 4-10 years old?
We ask that children stay quietly with their parents during the worship service. We provide a breakout space in the dining room if they become unsettled.
The breakout room is not monitored by volunteer staff during the worship service so parents must supervise their own children at all times.

Ascension Kids Sunday School Programme is available for children aged 4-16 years old during the sermon.
